NissanConnect® EV & Services is a mobile application designed specifically for owners and drivers of the Nissan LEAF®, allowing them to manage various aspects of their electric vehicle remotely. This app is available for the Android platform, enabling users to download it and access a range of features tailored to enhance their experience with the LEAF model year 2018-2023.

One of the primary functionalities of NissanConnect EV & Services is the ability to remotely start charging the vehicle. This feature allows users to initiate the charging process from a distance, ensuring that their LEAF is ready to go when needed. Additionally, owners can check the battery status remotely, providing real-time information about the vehicle’s charge level, which is essential for planning trips.

Climate control settings can also be managed through the app. Users can turn the climate control system on or off from their mobile device, making it convenient to adjust the temperature before entering the vehicle. Alongside this, the app includes a climate control timer, which allows users to schedule when the heating or cooling systems should activate, optimizing comfort while minimizing energy consumption.

Route planning is another significant feature integrated within the app. Users can plan their routes in advance, considering factors such as charging stations along the way. This planning capability is particularly beneficial for long-distance trips, as it helps ensure that drivers have access to charging infrastructure when needed.

NissanConnect EV & Services also offers a plug-in reminder notification, which alerts owners when it’s time to charge their vehicle. This reminder helps users stay on top of their vehicle's charging needs, reducing the risk of running out of power unexpectedly. Additionally, the app sends a charge complete notification when the vehicle has finished charging, providing peace of mind to the owners.

The vehicle locator function, known as My Car Finder, assists users in locating their LEAF in crowded parking lots or unfamiliar areas. This feature can be particularly useful in urban settings, where finding a parked car can sometimes be a challenge.

Security features are also included in the app, allowing users to remotely lock or unlock their doors using their mobile device. To enhance security, a PIN is required before utilizing the remote door lock/unlock feature, which is established during the enrollment process in NissanConnect EV with Services. This adds an extra layer of protection for the vehicle.

Additional safety features include curfew, boundary, and speed alerts. These notifications help owners monitor their vehicle's usage, ensuring that it is being used within established parameters. Such features can be particularly relevant for those who lend their vehicle to others or have young drivers in the household.

The app requires an active subscription to access its full range of features. However, Nissan offers a complimentary subscription for the first three years of ownership, making it accessible for new LEAF owners. After this period, users will need to maintain an active subscription to continue using the app’s functionalities.

The dashboard within the app can be personalized, allowing users to prioritize the features they use the most. This customization ensures that the most relevant information and controls are easily accessible, enhancing user experience and efficiency.
